More Metaverse Projects You Should Know
Initial work in these projects looks good.
Thank you for coming to Medium and checking out this article I wrote on Metaverse tokens. The metaverse is the hot topic now in crypto trading and blockchain too in part due to Mark Zuckerberg’s recent announcement of changing Facebooks’s name to Meta. During his little speech, he also took credit for nearly every metaverse advancement in the last twenty years. But that is for others to talk about.
Following is a list of more metaverse crypto projects you should pay attention to. I had written an earlier story listing 22 crypto metaverse projects. You can read it here. Thank you
Also, I am just listing the projects here. You need to do your own research before you invest.
IOI
IOI is a gamified trading platform for traders, gamers, or crypto enthusiasts that aims to build an NFT blockchain gaming platform with its own IOI Token. The IOI Corporation hosts three platforms: IOI Market- Auction charity market for NFTs. Wallet — Multi-currency crypto wallet with NFT and 36% APY trading pool.
It is a basic racing game.
Super Farm
SuperFarm is a platform designed to make non-fungible tokens (NFTs) more accessible and easier to get to grips with by offering a cross-chain NFT farming platform. It provides a platform where anybody can launch their own NFTs and NFT farms without any coding knowledge required.
It is owned by Elliot Wainman who serves as founder and CEO. He was a crypto influencer for years prior to the launch of his own cryptocurrency.
Altura
Altura is a smart contract platform that allows game developers to mint, distribute and transact Smart NFTs representing in-game items. Smart NFTs are NFTs with dynamic properties that can change based on certain conditions. Launched on the Binance Smart Chain ecosystem. There is a discord server and a telegram group and there are other Medium articles on this project as well. And a whitepaper for developers to checkout.
RMRK
“RMRK NFTs are natively connected to every chain that connects to the [Kusama] relay chain. They are multichain by default,” said Bruno Škvorc, project founder of RMRK, in an explainer and announcement thread.
Kanaria
Built on the RMRK ecosystem. Kanaria is a collection of Kusama eco-friendly NFT’s that hatched in July. It was launched on the Kucoin launchpad back in July. It all runs on the Polkadot network and the native token for transactions is KSM or RMRK. You need a Polkadot compatible wallet for all transactions. This does not run on Ethereum.
Efinity
A Polkadot NFT project. And powered by the Enjin ecosystem. Enjin is working on building Efinity on Polkadot. Efinity is a parachain built on the Polkadot network by Enjin. (EFI)
The goal of Efinity is to serve as an NFT highway rather than a general-purpose computing blockchain. The network prioritizes token generation, transfers, and purchases.
Sin City
Just announced an NFT gaming project that is a free-to-play and play-to-earn ecosystem. You can build revenue-generating assets and social venues for your friends to hang out on your land. SIN is the in-game currency of the Sin City Metaverse. Players can earn $SIN crypto tokens by competing in underworld activities or other P2E empire-building games.
Sol Chicks
Built on Solana is a play-to-earn game with in-game tokens that serve as the currency of the universe. The Shards of Love(SSL) token, is similar to the Axie Secret Love Potion(SLP) coin that is earned in-game. The SSL token is earned through gameplay and can be used in-game for power-ups and to purchase game assets too.
Binemon
A blockchain-based mobile gaming platform. A virtual NFT pet mobile game. Throughout the game, players can earn eggs, characters, items, and land. They can trade all of these items as NFTs on the marketplace for DRK coins. Binemon’s ecosystem consists of three tokens. Players earn AMB or Ambrosias through in gameplay and convert them into dark Tokens or DRK.
This was built on the Binance Smart Chain.
Splinterlands
Some say this is really fun to play. You can say what you want about tokenomics and all that but play-ability is something else entirely. I haven’t played yet but the reviews I read by others make me want to check this one out.
Again built on the BSC or Binance Smart Chain.
League of Kingdoms
I would point you to this article on Medium that discusses in depth the game itself. I would have little to add.
RedFox Labs
An incubator for new gaming and metaverse projects. A venture capital play in the metaverse.
