It’s hard to market yourself as a generalist writer. People don’t know your level of expertise and ‘the algorithm’ doesn’t understand who you are. You have to niche down to get yourself noticed and to be taken seriously.

Also the mistake I made in the beginning on Medium was to write about every interest I had which left any possible audience confused as to what I was offering.
