Been reading this book by Michael Meade called Awakening the Soul. Very pretentious title, right. Very serious.
I often think the thing that spirituality needs more is levity. Humor. Lightness. Most don’t think that way of course. It is nothing but keep your vibration high, confess your sins and follow the dharma closely. All very serious stuff cuz your soul’s place in the next existence is dependent upon your behavior here and now.
It is easy to understand why some feel that way but also you can laugh at yourself too. Laugh at your past and laugh at your present. That won’t harm your karma.
Maybe we’re not here to laugh at ourselves and there is some higher purpose. It is nice to think there is.
